A common question is it cheaper to cut a tree down in the winter? Usually, yes it can cost less in the winter depending on the project. Removing trees in the winter means the ground is frozen and great for larger projects because there is less ground damage. The frozen ground is harder and easier to move larger equipment without damaging the ground. It is a great time to schedule because fewer people are scheduling work and we are usually less busy. Also, late winter is a great time to prune because any branches cut back during the winter will be able to recover quickly in the spring with new growth.
